Sarracenia x Green Monster

The plant arrived very quickly and in great shape. I potted it up today and placed it in the water tray with my other sarracenia’s. While moving things around I could see that it was catching bugs already. Very happy with this plant 👍👍

A very colorful plant, one large pitcher and a nice root system. Hopefully it comes back strong in the Spring. I plan to winter it and the other pitcher plants in our garden shed for the winter and bring back in the house in the Spring. We have been very happy with the plants we received so far and if these do well are planning on ordering more in the Spring.

I started by buying a plant in a local nursery in Seattle (the one in the foreground of the photo). My friend said that it is a way to control flies.

Then I bought seeds from CPN and realized that will be a long time until I get plants big enough. But after a month I have about 4 tiny Venus fly traps and nothing else sprouting. They are super cute.

Realizing this is way too long until they can help with the flies. I bought eight plants from CPN. The plants arrived in about 3 days in great shape and hopefully, they will love the new bog garden, I set up. That's a regular-size dinner plate for size comparison. I'm using my dehumidifier water to water them. It's Seattle so I used moss growing around the garden to cover the peat and vermiculite. *wish me luck*

Actually, they arrived healthy and robust but have not been able to evaluate them since they're not growing new growth as of yet. Will keep you posted.

Ordered one large, and two small plants and received them about a month ago now. Plants came quickly and were packaged well, bare rhizome in sphagnum moss. Large plant came with one large trap just starting to fade and one that was just maturing. After potting and getting settled there are quite a few new traps coming up already. The small plants are also doing similarly well. Not only are these plants healthy and vigorous, but they are a very beautiful AF version of an S. x Excellens. Would order again.
